EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Thursday night, one Monroe County high school highlighted athletes teams and coaches in a big way.
The East Stroudsburg South Girls Basketball Team from the 2006/2007 season, three coaches, and a former athlete were inducted into the schools athletic hall of fame.
13-year-old hit by car in Pittston, driver charged with DUIA former softball and basketball player who passed away while serving our country was also honored tonight along with three coaches.
"It was a great honor. It was my senior year season so it's even more memorable for me. We went to the state play offs we had great coaches great players and most importantly had great fans," reflected Emily Weiman, a former member of the East Stroudsburg South Girls Basketball Team.
The current girls basketball team starts their season against Tamaqua Area High School on Friday November 29th.
