TOBYHANNA, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It looks like the storm is moving out of NEPA, but drivers should be aware of some spots in the higher elevations.

28/22 New was in the Poconos earlier Thursday afternoon to check out conditions.

For those out traveling Thursday, the roads are overall in good condition, but people should still be cautious with early morning snowfall making for wet conditions Thursday evening.

Route 6-11 in Tobyhanna saw drivers out all afternoon long.

28/22 News got some video that was taken around 1:00 pm where roads were much clearer than earlier Thursday.

28/22 News captured the wet, slick, and slushy conditions covering several roads in the Tobyhanna and Poconos area Thursday morning right after the snowfall.

These conditions commended drivers use some caution when out traveling.

As many in the area shopped in local grocery stores and fueled up at the gas pumps this Turkey Day, they made sure to still take things slow and easy.

They advise others to continue to do the same Thursday night.

"We only got about an inch, an inch of slush. Traveling is okay today but people use common sense. You know watching out for other motorists common sense," said Poconos resident Matthew Valenze.

The next busiest travel day is expected to be Sunday.
