COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It's National Emergency Medical Services Appreciation Week. It's an opportunity to educate the community on the services their local EMS provides and to show appreciation for those who serve.
Pocono Mountain Regional EMS is one of several in the NEPA that work in their community, providing emergency care and transportation to local hospitals.
They are a nonprofit and are in need of financial support, and have been using a subscription-based strategy as a way to raise funds for their operation.
