Wawa Homicide Investigation

Updated Information/ Arrest #3: 3/4/2025

Christopher Quattrochi, an 18 year old white male from Bushkill, was arrested on Tuesday March 4, 2025, in connection with the homicide at Wawa that occurred on 11/30/2024. 

Through Investigation it was determined that Christopher Quattrochi, the brother of the alleged shooter, committed multiple crimes by: 

  • Conspiring and assisting in the commission of the crimes of aggravated assault, simple assault, riot and reckless endangerment that lead to the death of a 17 year old victim.
  • Corruption of minors due to aiding and abetting a 14 yr old juvenile by facilitating a riot and assault on another juvenile victim and additionally transporting the 14 yr old away from the crime scene as they fled the area after the commission of the crimes.

Accordingly, Christopher Quattrochi, was charged with the following crimes:

  •  PA/CC  2702 (A)(1) Aggravated Assault (F1)
  • PA/CC  2702 (A)(1) Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault
  • PA/CC 5503 (1) Riot (F3)
  • PA/CC 5501 (1) Conspiracy to Commit Riot (F3)
  • PA/CC  6301 (a)(1)(i) Corruption of minors (M1)
  • PA/CC  2701 (a)(1) Simple Assault (M2)
  • PA/CC  2701 (A)(1) Conspiracy to Commit Simple Assault (M2)
  • PA/CC  2705 Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2)
  • PA/CC  5503 (A)(1) Disorderly Conduct (M3)

     Quattrochi was arraigned before MDJ Anzini, bail was set at $500,000 and he was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility. 

    This is still on ongoing investigation.     Updated Information/Arrest #2: 1/12/2025

    Joseph John Quattrochi, a 54-year-old white male from Bushkill, was arrested on Friday January 10, 2025, in connection with the Wawa homicide.

    Through investigation it was determined that Joseph Quattrochi, the father of the alleged shooter, committed multiple crimes by:

    • Conspiring and assisting in the commission of the crimes of aggravated assault, simple assault, riot and reckless endangerment that lead to the death of a 17 year old victim.
    • Hindered Apprehension/ Tampering with Evidence;  by transporting  Andrew Quattrochi, the firearm used in the commission of the crime, his 15 yr old son and other persons associated with the crime away from the crime scene. 

    Accordingly, Joseph John Quattrochi, was charged with the following crimes:

    • PA/CC 2701(a)(1) Conspiracy to Commit Simple Assault (M2)
    • PA/CC 4910 Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence (M2)

    Updated Information on Homicide Investigation- Arrest #1: 12/3/24

    Through investigation the following was learned:

    Police obtained Wawa video surveillance that showed a physical altercation involving multiple people inside the store prior to the shooting. A single suspect, later identified as Andrew Joseph Quattrochi, was observed on video with a firearm during the altercation who subsequently shot the juvenile victim and then fled the scene. Quattrochi fled with scene with other people involved in the altercation via a white pickup truck with dark colored racing stripes that went from the front hood to the rear bumper.

    Through police investigation it was determined that the white pick up was owned and driven by Quattrochi’s father on the night of the shooting. Detectives further investigation determined the identity of the shooter as Andrew Quattrochi as seen on video surveillance.

    The crime scene was forensically processed. A single .9mm case was located on the floor in the vicinity of where the victim was discovered.

    On 12/2/24 an autopsy was conducted. The Monroe County Coroner has determined that the manner of death was determined to be homicide with the cause as a single gunshot to the back (which exited through the neck of the victim).

    On 12/2/24 charges were filed, and an arrest warrant obtained. Quattrochi’s attorney was contacted and on 12/3/24 at approximately 9:45 am he turned himself in on the warrant at SARPD HQ.

    Andrew Joseph Quattrochi, a 25-year-old white male from Bushkill, was arrested and charged with the following:

    • Criminal Homicide -1 count (F1)
    • Firearms not to be Carried without a License- 1 count (F3)
    • Discharge of a Firearm into Occupied Structure- 1 count (F3)
    • Aggravated Assault-1 count (F3)
    • Simple Assault- 2 counts (M2)
    • Recklessly Endangering Another Person- 10 counts (M2)
    • Possession Instruments of Crime- 1 count (M2)

    Quattrochi was arraigned before MDJ Anzini, bail was denied, and he was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility pending further court proceedings.

    The SARPD would like to thank the District Attorney’s Office, the Monroe County Coroner, Suburban EMS, Wawa and all members of the community that assisted in this investigation.


    Previously Released Information (12/1/24)

    On 11/30/24 at approximately 8:20 P.M. the SARPD received multiple 911 calls for shots fired/ a male shot at the WAWA, located on West Main Street in Stroudsburg. Upon arrival officers located a 17 year old white male that was shot in the neck area and performed life saving measures until EMS services arrived and took over care of the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The suspect was said to have fled the scene. The SARPD Detective division was called to the scene to investigate. 

    Initial investigation revealed that this incident began as a verbal altercation which later turned physical, and involved multiple individuals inside the store. During the physical altercation a male displayed a handgun and fired a single shot before fleeing the scene. This is currently believed to be an isolated incident. 

    This is currently an active ongoing investigation and further information will be released when available.
