Homicide InvestigationDetails Map On 11/30/24 at approximately 8:20 P.M. the SARPD received multiple 911 calls for shots fired/ a male shot at the WAWA, located on West Main Street in Stroudsburg. Upon arrival officers located a 17 year old white male that was shot in the neck area and performed life saving measures until EMS services arrived and took over care of the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The suspect was said to have fled the scene. The SARPD Detective division was called to the scene to investigate.
Initial investigation revealed that this incident began as a verbal altercation which later turned physical, and involved multiple individuals inside the store. During the physical altercation a male displayed a handgun and fired a single shot before fleeing the scene. This is currently believed to be an isolated incident.
This is currently an active ongoing investigation and further information will be released when available.
