TANNERSVILLE – Sen. Rosemary Brown (R-40) is hosting her second Senator for a Day seminar for students in the 40th Senatorial District to learn about the legislative process on Friday, Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Northampton Community College Monroe Campus, located at 2411 PA-715, Tannersville.
“Students will step into the role of a senator for the day – debating bills, taking positions on key issues and drafting legislation for review,” Brown said. “As this is my second Senator for a Day event, I know firsthand how valuable this experience is for future leaders to gain a unique insight into public service. I’m excited to meet these bright, talented young men and women who will shape our future.”
More than 160 students are expected to participate from the following schools:
- East Stroudsburg
- Pocono Mountain
- Pleasant Valley
- Mid Valley
- North Pocono,
- Honesdale
- Valley View
- Wallenpaupack
- Western Wayne
