On October 9, 2024, the Pocono Township Police Department responded to Steele's ACE Hardware in Tannersville for a report of a theft of leased property. Upon arrival it was discovered that the defendant in this matter, Kathlynn G. Taylor a 41-year-old female from East Stroudsburg, rented equipment from ACE in August of 2024 for a one day period. Taylor refused to return the equipment despite receiving multiple contacts by ACE Hardware. Due to the amount owed by Taylor being over $2,000, a felony warrant was issued for her arrest.
