ARRESTDetails MapOn March 1, 2025, at approximately 0212 hours, an Officer with the Pocono Township Police Department was on routine patrol in the area of Golden Slipper Road and Bartonsville Woods Road. The Officer observed a gray 2012 Hyundai Tucson bearing a stolen registration plate out of Pennsylvania State Police Stroudsburg Barracks. The Officer pursued the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. Contact was made with the operator of the vehicle, Joshua Spruill a 20-year-old male from Albrightsville, and his passenger, Nazareth Sowells a 22-year-old male from Albrightsville. Upon further investigation the Officer observed evidence of other criminal activity and the vehicle was subsequently impounded to apply for a search warrant. A search warrant was approved and upon searching the vehicle Officers located marijuana and paraphernalia belonging to both occupants. The vehicle also possessed a fraudulent inspection, no registration and no insurance. Charges have been filed on both individuals.
