ARRESTDetails MapOn June 1st, 2024, at approximately 11:59 P.M., officers of the Pocono Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on the north side of Scotrun Avenue near Route 611. A silver Chevrolet Traverse, traveling in the direction of Route 611, failed to negotiate a turn, and crashed into a service pole. Officers made contact with the driver and defendant, Durell Solomon of New York, and a DUI investigation followed. Standardized field sobriety tests were conducted, and the defendant was found to be impaired.
He was then arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. A subsequent blood analysis confirmed the defendant to have a high amount of alcohol in his blood at the time of the incident. Charges have been filed.
