On November 30, 2025 an Officer of the Pocono Township Police Department observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on section of State Route 314 near the intersection of State Route 611 in Swiftwater. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver, Cristian Sanchez, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of his person led to the seizure of a controlled substance and related paraphernalia. Sanchez was placed under arrest and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility for processing.
