On January 18, 2025, Officers with the Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to the Camelback Ski Area for a report of a theft of skis from the night before. Throughout investigations, it was discovered that 37 year old Covey Salinas of Philadelphia, PA, took the skis from the ski rack and placed them in the trunk of his vehicle. Salinas is being charged with Theft of Moveable Property.
