ARRESTDetails MapOn October 5th, 2024, at approximately 10:06 a.m., Officers of the Pocono Township Police Department, responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at Great Wolf Lodge. Officers made contact with Great Wolf security, who advised that the victim and Michael Ruiz, of Rochester New York, were arguing in a room. Ruiz then fled when security responded and before police arrived. Officers then made contact with the victim who advised that an argument escalated into Ruiz striking her in the face several times, causing injures. The assault also occurred in front of their two small children, who were in the hotel room at the time.
While speaking to the victim, additional Pocono Township Police Officers located Ruiz at a nearby gas station, with the victim's vehicle. Ruiz was then arrested for domestic simple assault and placed in the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
