On Thursday 2/15/24 at approximately 2130 hrs the SARPD was dispatched to the Walmart in East Stroudsburg for a retail theft. Loss prevention officers reported that the suspect was concealing items underneath paid goods at a self checkout. LPO's attempted to stop the suspect in the vestibule but she fled out of the store on foot. .A description of the suspect was provided and SARPD Officers located the suspect on North Courtland Street where she was identified and taken into custody. Items in the amount of $77.64 were stolen. Criminal Charges filed.
