On November 27, 2025 an Officer of the Pocono Township Police Department conducted a traffic stop for minor vehicle code violations at the intersection of State Route 715 and State Route 611. Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a controlled substance and related paraphernalia. The driver of the vehicle, Zak McDonald, a 26-year-old male from East Stroudsburg, was placed under arrest and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility for processing.
