ARRESTDetails MapOn February 15, 2025 at approximately 1739 hours, the Pocono Township Police Department was dispatched to an Apple crash detection alert in the area of Wilke Road in Tannersville. Upon Officer's arrival, it was discovered that a white Ram 1500 was involved in a single vehicle accident involving a guardrail. Contact was made with the operator of the vehicle, Iurii Martyniv, a 23-year-old male from Hackettstown, NJ. Martyniv exhibited signs of impairment and admitted to consuming alcohol and operating the vehicle. A consent search of his vehicle yielded a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. Martyniv was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and narcotics charges and transported to the Monroe County DUI Center. Charges have been filed.
