ATTEMPT TO LOCATE- OLDER WARRANT
On 12/31/2022 at 4:42 a.m. a traffic stop was conducted by Stroud Area Regional Police on Interstate 80 at mile marker 303 in Stroud Twp. The vehicle was observed with a burnt-out headlight. The vehicle then made a turn and failed to properly signal. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer made contact with the driver and detected a odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle, along with a strong odor of cologne or perfume. The operator identified as Roger P. Lester was slow moving, and his speech was slurred. Lester was asked to step out of the vehicle at which time a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was now emanating from his facial region. Standardized Field Sobriety testing was conducted, and Lester only completed 1 test and after starting the second test, stopped and refused to complete anything further. Lester voluntarily submitted to a preliminary breath test which returned a positive result for the presence of alcohol. Lester was placed under arrest for the suspicion of DUI and was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility for processing.
