On August 1st, 2024, at approximately 10:26 p.m. officers of the Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to a residence in East Stroudsburg for a medical emergency. The call came out as a male possibly overdosing. When officers arrived, residents of the home advised that Matthew Lane overdosed but had since woken up and left by driving away. While on scene additional officers located Lane at the TLC park in Tannersville. A subsequent investigation followed and found Lane to be under the influence of a controlled substance and to be in possession of heroin.

Lane was then arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. 

Charges have been filed.
