On March 7, 2024, a drug investigation was launched by the Stroud Area Regional Police. During the undercover investigation, a vehicle with a known drug user in the passenger seat was followed to an address where the passenger was observed exiting the vehicle, going into a residence, and a few minutes later returning the vehicle and leaving. Upon investigators following the vehicle, the vehicle failed to use turn signals when making a turn. The vehicle then made another stop at a residence which is known to be family members of the passenger. A short time later the male returned to the vehicle and the vehicle proceeded to drive away. A traffic stop was conducted, and the male passenger exited the vehicle and took off running. Officers gave chase and arrested the male identified as Christopher Robert Jones. While searching Jones numerous suspected narcotics were found. Jones was transported back to the police department for processing.
Charges were filed and an arrest warrant was issued for Christopher Robert Jones for summons undelivered.
