On March 21, 2025, at approximately 2216 hours, a Pocono Township Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop in the Tannersville area after observing a vehicle with a break light, tail light, and registration light out as well as numerous other traffic offenses. The officer made contact with the driver, Lawrence Hardy, a 50-year-old male from Saylorsburg, PA. Following an investigation, the driver was determined to be under the influence and unfit to operate a vehicle safely. He was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County DUI Center, where charges were subsequently filed.
