On December 7, 2024, at 12:06 a.m. Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to the Cinder Inn in East Stroudsburg for a report of a male threatening an employee. Upon arrival the victim related that she stopped serving a male patron due to him being heavily intoxicated. He was identified as Shawn Lee Davis. The victim related that Davis became irate and started being verbally disrespectful towards her, refused to leave the bar, but then he went outside for a cigarette. The victim followed Davis outside to make sure that he got into his Uber ride. During this time Davis threatened to come back, "masked up" and shoot the victim. Davis also remarked that "this is how people get shot" and "we don't know who he is". The defendant fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Charges were filed and an arrest warrant was issued for Shawn Lee Davis.
