On January 15th, 2025, at 0751 hours Officers with the Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to Dales Pocono Bistro located at 3396 Route 611 for a report of a disorderly male who was harassing staff members. While enroute, Officers received additional information that there was a physical fight between a staff member and the male, later identified as 35-year-old Jeffrey Crowell of Stroudsburg, PA.

Officers arrived on scene and were immediately approached by a staff member who advised that Crowell was in the kitchen. Officers approached Crowell and attempted to separate the 2 parties to avoid further escalation and gather both sides of the story. Officers advised Crowell he had to exit the establishment numerous times, but Crowell refused. Officers attempted to escort Crowell out of the establishment and Crowell tensed up and began pulling his arms away and actively resisting Officers while screaming. Officers attempted to bring Crowell to the ground, and he continued to resist on the ground before he was taken into custody.

A review of the security footage showed Crowell enter the kitchen and grab the victim by the back of her neck and face and begin attempting to kiss the victim on the lips. Crowell then released the victim and grabbed a knife that he placed to his stomach before exiting the kitchen behind the victim. Crowell was then confronted by another staff member who he shoved with two hands.

Crowell was arraigned by Magistrate Kresge where he was given $25,000 secured bail before being transported to Monroe County Correctional Facility.
