ARRESTDetails MapOn July 3, 2024, at approximately 2259 hours, the Pocono Township Police Department responded to Buck Valley Circle for a report of a female screaming for help in a nearby wooded area. Upon arrival contact was made with a female who advised that she was assaulted by her husband, Roy K. Abel a 44-year-old male from East Stroudsburg. The victim had injuries on her hand and face consistent with an assault. Abel was subsequently taken into custody for simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was transported to Monroe County Correctional Facility ad was later arraigned by MDJ Kristina Anzini. Bail was set at $10,000 secured bail.
