8 injured after Hamilton Township crash

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Traffic is moving smoothly again after a crash sent eight people to the hospital on Route 33 in Monroe County.

The crash happened in the Northbound lane on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

The Monroe County Communications Center told 28/22 News Blue Ridge Hook And Ladder was called to the crash involving up to seven vehicles shortly after 2:30 p.m.

Authorities say eight people suffered minor injuries in the incident and were all transported to nearby hospitals.

Pennsylvania State Police Stroudsburg was also on scene.

Crews cleared the area and traffic was able to flow again shortly after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.
