TikTok and social media alike have become integral parts of everyday life. Teens have grown accustomed to this new digital world. TikTok has launched entire careers, not just of Content Creators or Influencers, but of Social Media Managers and aspiring business owners who use TikTok to promote their small businesses.

The Borough has declared a Snow Emergency as of 6AM Saturday, January 6, 2024. The Snow Emergency will remail in effect until 8AM Monday, January 8, 2024.

Snow Emergency Routes are marked with signs. A Snow Emergency is declared and put into effect to enable the removal of snow by Borough Public Works crews on the Snow Emergency Routes.

Do Not Park on the Snow Emergency Routes or on the wrong side of the street.

ALL VEHICLES ILLEGALLY PARKED WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWED AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE.


At a rally Thursday in Stroudsburg to support safe staffing, state Rep. Maureen Madden, D-Monroe, said mandated nurse-to-patient ratios save lives, improve quality of care, and are good for not only patients, but for the staff who take care of them. Madden called on supporters of safe staffing to contact their legislators about passing HB106, the Patient Safety Act, and ensuring better healthcare for the workers and the patients.

Stroudsburg, PA – The Pocono Arts Council is excited to announce the grand opening of its new location at 530 Main St, Stroudsburg, held in conjunction with the annual Members’ Exhibition (May 6 – June 23, 2023).

The festivities will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 3:30pm, followed by remarks and a tour of the new space.

The annual Members’ Exhibition will showcase the original work of Pocono Arts Council members in categories including oil, acrylic, watercolor, works on paper, mixed media, photography, fine craft, sculpture, and digital.

Two men died in a crash early Monday on Interstate 80 in the Poconos.

According to state police at Stroudsburg, two vehicles were traveling west in Tunkhannock Township, both at a high rate of speed, about 12:30 a.m. Monday. One of the two vehicles left its lane of travel and crashed into the second vehicle, sending both off the road.

Both cars rolled over several times, ejecting the drivers: Donn Innes, 68, of Weatherly and Jeffrey Bates, 31, of Danville, Montour County. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
