Public Notice
Notice is hereby given that the Milford Borough Council will conduct a Public Hearing, and thereafter may vote upon and potentially enact an amendment to Chapter 312 of the Milford Borough Code, regulating Zoning, as follows:
Section 312-11relating to the definitions of Gambling/Betting Use/Skill Games (to include Skill Games within the definition of Gambling and Betting Uses), Garage Apartments (to make explicit that a Garage Apartment is an accessory use), Multi Family Dwelling, Skill Game(s), Townhouse, and Townhouse Dwelling Structure;
Section 312-21(A)(6) to prohibit more than one residential structure on the same lot in any zoning district except a Garage Apartment; Section 312-21(A)(8) to prohibit separate residential and nonresidential structures on the same lot in the C and LC zones; Section 312-21(A)(9) limiting the number of efficiency units in buildings within the C and LC district to 25% of the total number of dwelling units;
Section 312-33(J) removing superfluous language relating to odors;
Section 312-41 to reference Gambling/betting uses/Skill Game(s)
Adding Section 312-44.1, separately regulating Skill Games, requiring that they are approved as a Class II Conditional Use, limiting the number of Skill Games allowed in conjunction with other uses (Convenience Store, Fuel Dispensing Facility, Smoke Shop), and reducing the setback distance from residential districts and certain facilities;
Attachment 1, Schedule of Uses, to permit Skill Games as a Class II Conditional Use in the Commercial District.
The proposed Ordinances are available for inspection at the Milford Borough Office, 500 Broad Street, Milford during normal business hours. The Hearing shall take place on May 12, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Milford Borough Hall, 109 Catharine Street, Milford, Pennsylvania.
