PUBLIC NOTICE PUBLIC HEARING
The East Stroudsburg Borough Council will hold a Public Hearing during a Regular Meeting of the Borough Council for Ordinance No. 1414, Amending Chapter 126 - Sewers of the East Stroudsburg Borough Code of Ordinances on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 7:05 PM, in the Borough of East Stroudsburg Municipal Building, located at 24 Analomink St, East Stroudsburg, PA. After the hearing and during the continuance of the meeting, the Borough Council will, if in order, consider and vote upon Ordinance No. 1414, Amending Chapter 126 - Sewers, as well as conduct any other business that may come before the Borough Council. In place of setting forth the entirety of Ordinance No. 1414, Amending Chapter 126*Sewers, a summary of the proposed Ordinance is as follows:
Chapter 126*Sewers Shall be Amended to include: legislative findings for amendments; to add a new subsection (14) to Chapter §126-6, A. Service Lines applying Construction Standards and Details contained in Appendix B. and Appendix C.; to remove the final sentence of Chapter §126-6, D. and replace it with a sentence which clarifies responsibility for payment of construction costs and requires compliance with Appendix B. and C.; to add and incorporate Appendices B., C., and D. which provide construction standards, materials and details for all sewer construction, as well as provide forms for use to establish sewer service; and to include provisions for severability, repealer, authority and effective date.
The hearing is open to the public. All interested parties are welcome to attend and will have an opportunity to be heard. The proposed Ordinance can be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the actual cost of reproduction thereof at the East Stroudsburg Municipal Building at the address set forth above during normal business hours (8 AM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday) and online at the East Stroudsburg Borough Website www.eaststroudsburgboro.org during regular business hours.
