Book Swap & Silent Reading Celebration for Adults Friday, April 11th, 1pm-3pm - Eisemann Room Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of book swapping and silent reading in the Pullen Room! Celebrate Drop Everything and Read Day a little early while discovering new books and sharing your own. Book Swap (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM): Bring one book, take one book! Whether you're looking for a new read or want to pass along a book, this is your chance to trade and connect with fellow book lovers. All books must be in good condition--nothing excessively worn or mildewy, please. Plus, every participant will receive a ticket for a small prize drawing to win book accessories like bookmarks, bookmark holders, and more! Silent Reading (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, or as long as you like): After the swap, stay and enjoy some quiet reading time! Relax in our library space with soft music playing in the background - a great atmosphere for reading. You're welcome to bring a seat cushion to make yourself more comfortable. This is a bit like informal Silent Reading Book Clubs, though no discussions or commitments are required--just enjoy reading alongside others who love books! Any leftover books will be donated to the Friends of Eastern Monroe Public Library. So, come swap, read, and celebrate the joy of books! For ages 14+. Registrations not required but helpful, call 570-421-0800 ext. 317.
