Our Words & Film Sunday Matinee series continues with a free presentation of the Academy Award-nominated film Women Talking on March 2nd at 2:00 PM.*
The women of an isolated religious community grapple with reconciling their brutal reality with their faith. Through the backstory, we see a community of women trying to figure out how they might move forward and decide whether to stay and fight, leave, or do nothing.
Based on the book Women Talking, by Miriam Toews, and directed by Sarah Polley, this film's cast includes: Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, and Frances McDormand.
