Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read by the Stroud Township Board of Supervisors at their regular meeting scheduled to be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 7 PM, at the Stroud Township Municipal Center, 1211 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, PA, for the following, to wit:
Roll-off refuse containers for the Township's Annual Spring Clean-Up scheduled for April 23 to April 26, 2025. Bids shall be for enough containers to accept approximately 1,000 cubic yards of Municipal Solid Waste. All dumpsters shall have a minimum capacity of 35 cubic yards. A minimum of ten (10) empty containers shall be delivered to the Township's 134 Gaunt Road Maintenance Yard by 2 PM, Monday, April 21, 2025. Vendor shall deliver an additional empty container to the Township's 134 Gaunt Road Maintenance Yard when a filled container is removed by vendor as directed by the Township. An estimated total of twenty (20) containers will be filled and removed during the clean-up. Vendor shall provide an on-call operator for the exchange of filled containers on an as-needed basis for the duration of the clean-up. All containers are to be removed by 2 PM, Friday, May 2, 2025. Bid price shall be per cubic yard of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). Bids shall include delivery, set-up, exchange, and removal of containers. Disposal site must comply with the Monroe County Solid Waste Management Plan.
Bids must be received by the Township Manager by 2 PM, prevailing time, Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Bids shall be submitted on forms provided by the township. All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and clearly marked SPRING CLEAN-UP BID.
A Certificate of Insurance shall accompany all bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after date above specified for receiving, opening, and reading of bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid. Security shall be in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's check, or satisfactory bid bond naming as payee the Township of Stroud.
The Stroud Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, and to waive any defects or irregularities in the proposals. The Board further reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder and to reject any proposal deemed not to be in the best interest of the Township.
