The Paradise Township Board of Supervisors have changed the start time for the Wednesday, February 19, 2025 Regular Business Meeting to 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Paradise Township Municipal Building, 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, PA.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO ENACT PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 274

TAKE NOTICE that the Paradise Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., for the purpose of enacting proposed Ordinance No. 274, which Ordinance amends and restates Chapter 110 Sewage Disposal, to include a form Holding Tank and System Maintenance Agreement. The hearing will be convened during the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors which starts at 5:00 p.m., at the Paradise Township Municipal Building, 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Paradise Valley, PA. After the hearing and during the continuance of the regular meeting, the Board will consider, if in order, the passage of Ordinance No. 274 as well as other business coming before the Board at that time. In lieu of the full text of the proposed Ordinance No. 274, the following summary is provided:

ORDINANCE NO. 274

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PARADISE, MONROE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, TO AMEND AND RESTATE CHAPTER 110 SEWAGE DISPOSAL ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PARADISE TOWNSHIP ON MARCH 1, 2011, BY ORDINANCE NO. 187 AND SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS, WITH A REVISED CHAPTER 110 SEWAGE DISPOSAL WHICH AMENDMENTS INCLUDE PROVISIONS FOR: A TITLE, A PURPOSE, NEW DEFINITIONS FOR EQUIVALENT DWELLING UNIT, HOLDING TANK, IMPROVED PROPERTY, LARGE VOLUME ON-LOT SEWAGE SYSTEM, LOT, OWNER, PADEP, PERSON, REGISTERED SEPTAGE HAULER, SEPTAGE DISPOSAL SITE, SEWAGE, SEWAGE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, SEWAGE FACILITIES ACT, SEWAGE FACILITIES WITH SUB-DEFINITIONS, AND SEWAGE REGULATIONS; APPLICABILITY, APPLICABLE STANDARDS FOR ALL SEWAGE FACILITIES; PROHIBITIONS AGAINST UNAUTHORIZED SEWAGE DISPOSAL; APPLICABLE STANDARDS FOR COMMUNITY ON-LOT SEWAGE SYSTEMS; HOLDING TANKS; ENFORCEMENT; LIABILITY; CONFLICT WITH OTHER REGULATIONS; APPEAL; AND VIOLATIONS TOGETHER WITH A FORM HOLDING TANK AGREEMENT; PROVISIONS FOR SEVERABILITY, REPEALER, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
