The Stroudsburgs Rotary is hosting a free program with a significant amount of information on Oct. 24 at Pocono Cinema & Cultural Center (88 S. Courtland St., East Stroudsburg). The event is to raise awareness about the disease. A polio survivor will speak, along with a panel discussion with Dr. Vitali Pool, medical director, Sanofi U.S., and Dr. Ramlah Vahanvaty, pediatrician. They will share important information about this vaccine-preventable disease that still threatens children in parts of the world and in some parts of the United States today. Doors open from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A proclamation by East Stroudsburg Mayor Victor Brozusky will be delivered at 4:45 p.m.
