Join us for the launch event of Dr. Damary Bonilla-Rodriguez's Modern Marianismo Community Talks National Tour. Dr. Bonilla-Rodriguez will discuss her book Modern Marianismo, which explores the cultural construct of Marianismo and its impact on women's roles in society.
In her work, Dr. Bonilla-Rodriguez examines the deeply ingrained societal expectations placed on women, challenging prevailing stereotypes and encouraging a critical look at the complex interplay between gender roles and social norms. Her exploration provides insights into the challenges faced by women navigating the dynamics of self-sacrifice and societal expectations.
