The CTHA will tour of this once abandoned and now restored Lackawanna Coal Mine, a hard coal mine that originally opened in 1860.
The tour will be led by a former miner, who will explain the fascinating methods used, and the heroic efforts involved, in deep mining's history.

The mine is handicapped accessible with some restrictions.
*** MEET at 9:15 a.m. at the Wills Mansion to join a carpool to the mine.
