Investigations into voter registration forms in Pennsylvania lead to wave of misinformation
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Investigations into potential fraud in voter registration applications in three Pennsylvania counties have become fodder for online misinformation, including from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Authorities in Lancaster, Monroe and York counties have released limited details, and local prosecutors are looking into whether any crimes might have occurred.
What do we know?
Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams, an elected Republican, said election workers raised concerns about two sets of voter registration applications because of what she described as numerous similarities. They're examining a total of about 2,500 forms.
Lancaster officials said they alerted two other counties to check similar registration applications. In Monroe County, the Board of Elections staff identified about 30 irregular forms and referred them to the district attorney’s office.

That company is "Field and Media Corps," a subsidiary of Fieldcorps, an Arizona-based organization, working out of Lancaster County, according to the county district attorney. Officials say that the company is responsible for submitting the forms in question to county officials.
The investigation into Fieldcorp's involvement is continuing, with Monroe County officials saying a further update can be expected in the next coming days.

Abortion: your body, your vote
With less than a week away from the 2024 Presidential election, abortion has been a key topic to determine the sway of voters.
Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, has been clear that all women should have the right to make decisions about their own body, and the government should not be in control. Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, has expressed his opinion that the states should have the right to choose and that “everyone wanted it back to the states.”
“The government should not control abortion to an extent. It should be the same for all of the states,” states Sophie Best, ’26.
In his first term, Trump appointed six supreme court justices, which, in 2022, those justices overturned Roe v. Wade, a 1973 case determining the right of abortion. The phrase, “My body, my choice” reignited the debate with COVID-19 vaccinations and efficacy. Now, the phrase is more commonly used on the topic of abortion.
